	Plastic coating Plastic articles can be coated by lacquering, vacuum processes and (in few cases) by electroplating. In many cases, the poor adhesion of the coating material on the polymer surface is critical. Therefore, the adhesion of coatings on plastics is often improved by such pre-treatment methods as etching, flame treatment, corona, coating with adhesion promoter or plasma.
