	Sticking PE As PE lacks any functional group for the attachment of an adhesive’s binder, untreated PE surfaces can not be joined by usual adhesives. However, a plasma treatment, in particular with oxygen, allows the generation of functional groups (e. g. keto and carboxylato groups) on the PE surface, thus providing a stable connection with most adhesives.
